Thyroid carcinoma
A malignant tumor of the thyroid gland, often seen in older dogs. It may be functional (hormone-producing) or nonfunctional and frequently invades nearby structures and metastasizes to lungs. May be seen as a soft tissue mass in the cervical (neck) region on radiographs.
